How HUSK and Lowes are Working Together to Help Sick Kids Come Home from Hospital

At Lowes, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. That's why we're proud to partner with Hospitals United for Sick Kids (HUSK), a charity dedicated to improving the lives of sick children and their families. With every bucket hat purchased, we donate $10 directly to HUSK, helping to support their work in hospitals across Australia.

What is HUSK?

Hospitals can be scary places for children, especially as it takes them away from the comfort of their own home when they’re unwell - a time that they need familiarity and routine the most.

HUSK works across the country to make kids’ hospital stays as short and comfortable as possible. Through funds raised, HUSK’s goal is to reduce family disruption caused by childhood hospitalisation and substantially lower the impact on the healthcare system by ensuring children can be looked after at home.

The Impact of Your Purchase

The money raised by Lowes through the sale of bucket hats is used by HUSK to fund in-hospital, at home or near to home research, therapies, programs, and equipment, allowing children to spend more time at home with their families while they’re dealing with illness.

Last year, we sold 25,937 bucket hats, resulting in $266,254 being donated to HUSK, and we’re planning on selling even more this year.
